We seven students have represented in the anatomy quiz contest 2020 in GMU. We had a very great support from our teachers Dr. Aziz and will also like to say thanks to our dean and teacher Lexie to believe us.
In the starting we were thinking how can we make it possible in just few days to prepare whole anatomy and we all were little bit afraid, but during reviewing the course we worked very hard and gave our best to prepare for this quiz contest.
Then the day came for what we have worked so hard and we all were nervous. That day we not only understand that we are going to face live audience but also the rules were very strict and if we violate any rule our points were going to be deducted. But luckily we didn’t make any mistake during contest and our points were safe.
At 7:00 PM our contest begins with some introduction about quiz and the host also read some rules that we must follow during contest. The first round we got less points as compared to other teams but it was normal because we all were nervous and the timer made us more nervous because we just have few seconds to answer the question.
But we didn’t get disappointed because of this round because there were four more rounds to go and we know that we can do our best. After we finish our first round the host started reading rules for our second round in which we have two parts one was on a different place and one was for us.
There were two pictures in second round and we have to identify the anatomical position of marked position on the picture we also have one more teammate helping us on the second part of this quiz YOGESH KUMAR. We also face ups and downs in this round but finally at this round we added 25 points for our team till now our team was the last between all seven teams came to compete us.
Then came the third round, touch the bone with your blindfolded eyes. In this round we were asked to use blindfold to close our eyes and they would choose one bone for us and we had to identify it correctly and also had to find the five anatomical structures instructed by our respected teacher and after this we also had to identify the position of one anatomical structure of that particular bone instructed by teacher. In this ADARSH MAHEMNDRA UPADHYAY was supposed to perform and he added 35 points and at the end of this round our team leaded directly to the 5th position among all the team’s.
The 4th round was the toughest round for us because this was a buzzer round and we got minus 10 points in this and we were not able to press the buzzer in a timely manner and win the chance to answer questions while other teams did really well in this round but some got minus some got plus. Finally this round came to an end with our score 160.
Then finally the rules for the last round of this quiz contest was read and we got ready for this round. In this round we have to choose between 10, 20 & 30 points. According to our answer the teachers were going to distribute the points for all the team. In this round we were the only team who have asked for the 30 points. Then the question was shown on the screen and our teammate EMMANUEL had presented his answer within 1 minute and we got 30 points in this round by adding 30 points we were on the top 3 position in this contest and after that we got 2nd winning prize with honorary credential certificate. The quiz was ended by some speech of our respected teachers from anatomy department and the wished all of
A VERY BRIGHT FUTURE.
